Our village is surrounded by green hills, rivers, forests, fresh mountain air, and peaceful Himalayan views. We are located close to Kathmandu and can be reached in around 2 hours by local bus. It is far enough from the busy city to experience peaceful village life, while still being convenient to travel. We want volunteers to experience Nepal not simply as tourists, but as part of our family and local community. You can enjoy authentic Nepali culture, traditions, local festivals, family activities, nature walks, village life, and traditional food. 🥑 About Harit Agro We are developing our avocado farm and organic agriculture system using natural and sustainable practices. Volunteers can help with: • Planting and caring for avocado trees • Organic vegetable gardening • Nursery and plant care • Composting, mulching and watering • Light farm and garden maintenance • Sharing new ideas and sustainable farming skills Our project is still growing, so we welcome creativity and new ideas from volunteers. 📚 Teaching Opportunity Near our farm is Prakash Secondary School, a local government school. Volunteers interested in education can also have the opportunity to help children practice English or share other useful skills. This is a great way to connect with the local community and experience everyday village life. 🏡 Stay With Our Family You will stay with our warm and welcoming Nepali family and enjoy home-cooked traditional Nepali food, local customs, storytelling, village walks, and cultural exchange.
